June 28, 2018: Epiphanybay Issac has been sold to a family in Missouri who will stand him as a stallion. We are quite pleased that Issac has a home where he can contribute to the Cleveland Bay breed through his progeny.
December 28, 2018: We have received confimration from the Cleveland Bay Horse Society that both Epiphanybay Jacob and Epiphanybay Issac have been awarded their Basic Stallion License.
July 15, 2018: Abraham has been at WestWind Farms in Upperville, Virginia being started under saddle. We went to visit him today. Dustin, the trainer, said Abraham has been very easy to work with. Abraham loves riding out. He goes through water, over logs and Dustin has even used Abraham to pony other horses.
I did get to ride Abraham which was awesome as I had not ridden any horse in quite some time. In the video Mike took of me riding Abraham, I was surprised to see that Abraham did not look like he was too big for me as I am not a tall person.
June 7, 2018: Today, EB Abraham was shown at the Upperville Colt and Horse Show in the Cleveland Bay Purebred In-Hand class. He was show by his trainer, Dustin Craig. Abe placed 5th out of 8 horses.
May 21, 2018: A number of changes here. We have been working diligently to finish the tack room before spring chores pre-empt our time. Pictures forthcoming. Constance did not have a foal as expected. Apparently, resorbed the fetus at some point after her 60 day check. This was a huge dissapointment. We were feeding her as if she was a pregnant mare. She was big enough, now she will be on a weight reduction plan. The rest of the herd is gradually being reintroduced to grass. On May 19, Abraham went to Westwind Farm in Upperville to be put under saddle.
January 14, 2018: I've been working to unravel some issues we have had with our website in recent months. Our server made updates and it has taken me a bit to figure out, with thier help, how to get our website up and in sync. I'm hopeful this has been accomplished!
EB Miss Nora Jo was finally weaned in over New Years weekend. She has been our toughest one yet to wean. She just did not want to be weaned. We had tried several strategies over the previous month, which had been successful with our other foals. Nope, we just had to do a cold turkey weaning. Mom was more than ready to be done. Nora had a few days of being quite unhappy. She is now settled in with our nanny mare, Stravi. Nora is becoming more settled in her behavior as Stravi does not tolerate her misbehaving.
